The Problem with Traditional Pool Filtration
Traditional pool filtration systems require a dedicated pump room, extensive piping networks, and regular sand replacement. They take up valuable space, are noisy, and require significant maintenance. For pool renovations, retrofitting traditional systems can be prohibitively expensive.
Enter Pipeless Filtration
Pipeless filtration systems represent a paradigm shift in pool technology. These compact, self-contained units mount directly on the pool wall or integrate into the deck, eliminating the need for a separate pump room entirely.
Key Benefits
- No Pump Room Required: Save construction costs and valuable space
- Easy Installation: Wall-hanging models like the FX-181 can be installed in existing pools without major structural work
- Superior Filtration: 5/15-micron German membrane technology provides far finer filtration than traditional sand filters (which only filter down to 20-40 microns)
- Energy Efficient: Single-phase 220-240V operation suitable for residential power supply
- Low Maintenance: No sand replacement, no backwashing - just periodic membrane cleaning
- Built-in LED Lighting: Many models come with integrated pool lighting
FX-181 vs NFX-201: Which One Is Right for You?
The FX-181 is ideal for residential pools up to 75,000 litres. It is a wall-hanging unit that is perfect for pool renovations and retrofit situations.
The NFX-201 is designed for larger pools up to 1,10,000 litres. It features a deck-integrated design with dual filter chambers and a more powerful 1.5 HP pump.
Is Pipeless Right for Your Pool?
If you are building a new pool, renovating an existing one, or simply tired of maintaining a traditional sand filter system, pipeless filtration is worth considering. The upfront cost is offset by savings in construction (no pump room), energy, and long-term maintenance.
